Lucas Vineyards wins big and celebrates!

Lucas Vineyards to Feature NY State’s Best Dry Riesling at their 20th Annual German Festival

Cayuga Lake’s first winery celebrates recent high awards and 20th annual German Festival.

Interlaken, NY: The Lucas Vineyards 2015 Dry Riesling rolled its way to the top with a double gold medal before ultimately being crowned as the best Dry Riesling in New York at the New York Wine & Food Classic competition. At the same competition, the 2015 Semi-Dry Riesling and the Skillet Road Single Vineyard Riesling Reserve were awarded gold medals.  “I knew these wines were excellent, and to have all the judges unanimously agree about my favorite Dry Riesling, that feels really good.” - Winemaker, Jeff Houck “We are excited to feature these winners, as they not only celebrate a great tradition of Riesling, but also celebrate the 20th anniversary of our German Festival. Riesling grapes originated in Germany, so it’s a perfect fit.” – Owner, Ruth Lucas.  All three of the wines were grown and crafted at Lucas Vineyards and are currently available for sale.
