Cayuga Lake Wine Trail’s One Millionth Customer
This past Saturday, on October 25th, the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail saw its one millionth customer grace the doors of Americana Vineyards. The lucky recipients are Jennifer Giroux from Ithaca and Ryan Rutledge from Tyler Hill, PA. The happy couple received a complete package from the Finger Lakes Region of New York. The package included a two night stay donated by La Tourelle Resort in one of their luxury bedroom suites in their Historic Yellow Barn with a $200.00 gift certificate to the August Moon Spa, 2 Wine Flutes and a Wine Cooler from MacKenzie-Childs, a Winery Tour from Experience! The Finger Lakes, plus a sampler case of Cayuga Lake Wine Trail wine.
As they approached the counter to make their purchase, balloons and confetti fell upon them as a bottle of Knapp’s Winery Sparkling Brut was popped and poured into two champagne glasses. Joseph Gober, Jr., owner of Americana Vineyards and Vice President of the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail personally welcomed them as the one millionth customer. Cathy Millspaugh, the Executive Director of the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail, greeted them presenting their prizes.
After the initial prizes were handed out a beautiful chocolate cake with the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail Logo decorated on the top was presented to Jennifer and Ryan. They were traveling the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail to celebrate Jen’s birthday which was last week on the 19th. How perfect for us to have a cake which was made by the Patisserie Chef at Americana. The cake was absolutely delicious and Jennifer said “What a way to celebrate her 36th year”.
Congratulations to Jennifer and Ryan for being our One Millionth Customer along the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail!
