A Tasting and Learning Experience, Sunday, May 6, 2:00pm-3:30pm. Wine maker Dave Breeden is celebrating the Finger Lakes signature grape by leading a blind horizontal tasting of 7 Dry Rieslings- wines from the same vintage and made with Riesling, but made by various Cayuga Lake wineries whose labels will be revealed at the end. Sheldrake Point will offer a comparative tasting of two Rieslings in April and May – the 2009 Dry Riesling and 2007 Reserve Riesling – in four glasses. The object is to see the difference glassware makes on the taste of a wine. The featured Rieslings are similar in composition but vary due to the distinctly different growing seasons/vintage. We will charge $6 per person and offer a 5% discount on up to 5 bottles purchased. 15% off of 6-11 bottles & 20% off of 12+ bottles.
