Cayuga Lake Wine Trail Event Code of Conduct
The Cayuga Lake Wine Trail is committed to creating a fun, welcoming, and safe experience for all guests, winery staff, volunteers, vendors, and partners participating in our events.
By attending a Cayuga Lake Wine Trail event, guests agree to conduct themselves respectfully and responsibly throughout the duration of the event.
Guest Expectations
Guests are expected to:
· Treat winery staff, fellow guests, volunteers, performers, and event partners with kindness and respect
· Follow all winery rules, procedures, and staff instructions
· Consume alcohol responsibly
· Respect winery property, event materials, and surrounding communities
· Keep walkways, tasting areas, and transportation loading zones clear when possible
· Follow all ticketing, check-in, and event participation procedures
· Maintain appropriate behavior in tasting rooms, outdoor spaces, and transportation vehicles
· Keep dogs leashed and under control at all times during dog-friendly events
· Dress appropriately for public winery environments
Prohibited Behavior
The following behaviors may result in removal from the event without refund:
· Harassment, discrimination, threatening behavior, or intimidation toward staff, guests, or participants
· Excessive intoxication or disruptive behavior
· Fighting, aggressive conduct, or unsafe actions
· Damage to winery property or event materials
· Possession or use of illegal substances
· Bringing outside alcohol onto winery property
· Failure to follow winery staff or event staff instructions
· Fraudulent, duplicated, or unauthorized tickets
· Smoking or vaping in prohibited areas
Alcohol & Safety
The Cayuga Lake Wine Trail encourages responsible alcohol consumption.
Participating wineries reserve the right to refuse service to any guest at any time. Guests who appear visibly intoxicated may be denied additional alcohol service and/or removed from the event.
We strongly encourage guests to:
· Use designated drivers
· Arrange transportation in advance
· Stay hydrated and pace themselves throughout the event
Transportation & Liability
Guests are responsible for their own transportation arrangements and personal belongings.
The Cayuga Lake Wine Trail and participating wineries are not responsible for:
- Lost, stolen, or damaged property
- Transportation delays or third-party transportation services
- Weather-related disruptions
- Personal injury resulting from failure to follow event policies or winery instructions
Photography & Media
By attending a Cayuga Lake Wine Trail event, guests acknowledge that photographs and video may be taken during the event and may be used for promotional, marketing, or social media purposes.
Ticket Policy & Optional Ticket Protection
All ticket sales are final unless otherwise noted.
Optional ticket protection or insurance may be offered during checkout through a third-party provider. Guests interested in coverage for unforeseen circumstances are encouraged to review this option prior to completing their purchase.
Event tickets may not be duplicated, transferred for fraudulent use, or resold in violation of event policies.
Event Changes & Cancellations
Cayuga Lake Wine Trail event hours are determined by the event itself and may differ from individual winery tasting room hours. Unless otherwise stated, event hours are 10:00 AM–5:00 PM.
Participating wineries, experiences, pairings, collectibles, performances, and offerings are subject to change without notice.
In the event of severe weather or other conditions that create unsafe travel or operating conditions, the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail reserves the right to postpone or cancel an event. While weather-related cancellations are rare, guest and staff safety will always remain the top priority.
Enforcement
Guests who violate this Code of Conduct may be removed from the event without refund and may be prohibited from attending future Cayuga Lake Wine Trail events.
