Set on 15 rolling acres near Buttermilk Falls State Park, this 57-room inn began in 1986 on the grounds of a former farm. Recently renovated in 2025, La Tourelle Inn has emerged warmer and refined, yet still rooted in its original charm. The hotel provides easy access to Cornell University, Ithaca College, downtown Ithaca and the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail - colleges, museums and acclaimed local restaurants all within a 10 minute drive.
Mornings start slow by the lobby fireplace; by midday a private trailhead carries you straight into Buttermilk Falls State Park; by evening you are back, reflecting over the day’s adventure with a glass of local wine.
